Bob Neill, as he was known to all his pupils, was a wonderful, kind physics teacher who had great sense of humour and a natural knack to explain physics. His physics teaching in 4th & 5th year (1977 -1979) inspired me to become a physicist and I shall forever be grateful to him. My thoughts are with his family and friends on this sad day. My sincere condolences.

A very special man who invited me to row for heriots, took me under his wing, kept me on the straight and narrow and allowed me to fulfil my potential in both sport and life. Will be sadly missed by me and the many others he has had such a positive impact on
